I love this perfect picture, though it is missing the two oldest children, and now a grandchild.  But the husband is handsome, the daughter is so cute and happy and we are having a great and goofy time at a time when we are supposed to be getting that perfect shot!

To answer the question, Water Lily comes from an episode of my very favorite TV show, The Golden Girls.

Blanche says to Dorothy, “It’s funny how that happened.  There I was, staying up last night, coming up with excuses to get out of this.  And then it occurred to me.  I said, ‘Water Lily’, that’s what I call myself sometimes….”

And since exposing the husband to the entire series and forcing him to watch every episode over and over, every time I say to him, “I said to myself…”, he responds with “Water Lily….”.

And there you have it.
